Aldie...   Is a special place, full of special people and blessed with a rich history. It is a place that we all return to, year after year, twice (and more for some) to see those who we only get to see once in a while. A lifetime of friendships and comraderie revolves around "Aldie". Some of those people are no longer with us, but are still there in every sense of the word.    There is so much history, that it will be difficult to know where to begin, but this is a story that is waiting to be told.   Of course in the forefront will be the history of the hunting, the hounds, and the different packs that have come to compete in the Spring and Fall Trials. Each and every pack has it's own peculiar and particular personality. Each and every pack has a set of people that makes it unique. Some packs have disappeared, some have merged and changed, and there are always the new ones, some who stay and become legends in their own time, and some who come and go. They are all part of the History.        And the heart of the matter, RABBITS! Or lack thereof, some years, and the trials and tribulations and the efforts over time to have those little bunnies alive, breeding and healthy for our enjoyment. 		Watercolor, Pen and Ink. Original painting, 22"x30", 2001, by Eleanor Hartwell. Project will be a Giclee Print on 140 lb. paper, signed and numbered by the artist. Limited edition size of 100 prints. Paper size is 22"x30", image size is 17"x25". Sixty percent of proceeds after cost will go towards the production of a book on the history of the National Beagle Club, and the myriad characters that have been a part of the Institute Farm.
